     Secure your wifi  

    1.  Choice encrypt
    
    
    A simple matter . WEP can be cracked in a few minutes, and WPA is relatively weaker than WPA2 . Choose WPA2 .
    No WEP, not WPA . End of story .
    WPA2 networks can only attack dictionary attacks , so ...
    
    2.  Setting a strong password
    
    WPA2 forces us to use at least 8 character password , which in itself is good , but each character increases security exponentially , that is, with each a pool of all possible to generate passwords of this length greatly increases. So it really makes a difference whether you use a password of 8 or a 9 characters.
    
    3. Change the default network name ( SSID)
    
    You have to remember to never leave the default network name , such as " Netgear " and " Asus " . Attackers often carry with them so . rainbow tables , so that breaking WPA/WPA2 password for the network with the same name takes just a few minutes. ( This is explained in detail in the operation of WPA/WPA2 )If a list of the vein , or as the SSID you set a random string of characters (not recommended ) , crackers utrudnicie life.
    4. Change the password to the router
    

    
    Suppose that someone has hacked into your network. Most at 192.168.1.1 ( or similar ) is the router control panel where you can do anything : change the password for your network , change the name , disable it , and more.Very often, the router itself is protected by a username and password (admin , admin ) , which is not a big obstacle for burglars . Also keep in mind to change the defaults wherever possible.

    
    5. Limiting coverage

    
    Most WiFi intrusions followed by " outsiders" . The neighborhood wireless network card detects a lot of potential victims , most of the apartments around us or from nearby buildings.WiFi network coverage should be chosen so as to cover the whole house , but nothing else. This will prevent any unwanted shares . Frequently in the options you can set the router transmitter power .

    
    6. Filtering MAC / hide the SSID

    
    All the networks are saying not to use the above . techniques , as they are very easy to break. It is of course true, but ... why not hinder life crackers ? :)By the way, when we go on vacation and forget to turn off the router and the network is empty there in the ether , hiding the SSID and MAC address filtering is a not - for - workaround. We can not podszpiegowac who logs on to the network and change your MAC address on him, because no one logs on to the network. Likewise, we can not use the attack revoke credentials to check a hidden network name , because it is who perform the attack .

 Tabnapping is a new form of phishing that is hitting the internet now. With the conventional form of phishing, for example, you might receive an email that is supposedly from your bank, and it might ask you to login and update or confirm your account details, of course, there would be a link to your banks website in the email for you to click, which would take you to a page that looks identical to your real banks login page.


How does it works
Tab napping is more sophisticated than the phishing scams we�ve seen so far, and it no longer relies on persuading you to click on a dodgy link. Instead it targets internet users who open lots of tabs on their browser at the same time (for example, by pressing
CTRL + T).
 if you have multiple tabs open and you are reading the page on your current active tab, any of the other inactive browser tabs could be replaced with a fake web page that is set up to obtain your personal data, the web page will look exactly the same as the page you opened in the tab, you probably wont even even know it has been replaced with a fake page.
fraudsters can actually detect when a tab has been left inactive for a while, and spy on your browser history to find out which websites you regularly visit, and therefore which pages to fake.
This may surprise you, but phishers and fraudsters in general can actually detect when a tab has been left inactive for a period of time, which means they can spy on your browsing history, this tells them which websites and web pages you visit on a regularly basis, so they'll know which bank you use and which email account you use, whatever you view, they'll know about it, which means they'll know which fake pages to make to replace the real pages in your inactive tabs, you've now left yourself open to become a victim of tab napping.

Hack a Facebook via a Desktop Phishing

Desktop Phishing - Step by step tutorial

In desktop phishing:-

1. Attacker sends an executable/batch file to victim and victim is supposed to double click on it. Attacker's job is done.

2. Victim types  the domain name of orignal/genuine website and is taken to our fake login page. But the domain name remains the same as typed by victim and victim doesn't come to know.

3. Rest of the things are same as in normal phishing.

What is Hosts File ?

The hosts file  is a text file containing domain names and IP address associated with them.

Location of hosts file in windows: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\

Whenever we visit any website, say www.anything.com , an query is sent to  Domain Name Server(DNS) to  look up for the IP address associated with that website/domain. But before doing this the hosts file on our local computer is checked for the IP address associated to the domain name.

Suppose we make an entry in hosts file as shown. When we visit www.anywebsite.com , we would

be taken to this 115.125.124.50. No query for resolving IP address associated with www.anywebsite.com would be sent to DNS.
